I check my phone again, for what must be the third time in as many minutes. Still nothing. I toss the device onto the table in disappointment, before immediately checking it again. Nothing. I’m almost annoyed with myself, for checking so frequently. You always text back within a reasonable time frame, and it’s only been a few minutes. I’m letting the moment overwhelm me, and it’s making me impatient. Coming home for the holidays is always an exciting time. This year, especially so, because my sister can make it too, this time!
