We can play this in a variety of different ways, but this is the crux. Your people have been subdued. And now a certain level of service has to take place. Some potential roles, but keep in mind, I want to hear your ideas and I'd love to build out the world and characters with you so that we both get something we want:

Futuristic America:

It's 2040 and the United States has run extremely far to the right. After the attempt on Trump's life, liberals, immigrants, non-Christians are viewed as threats to the American system and martial law is established. Increasingly, laws are passed that limit the rights of those who are not conservative, white, Anglo-Saxon Protestants. In fact, we've reached a point where the best you can likely do is be married to one. Otherwise, you are looking at working for one, or if you can't make your way, serving one. The country has gone back to a time when a white man's word would be worth more than that of any other race in court. Therefore, it largely gives them free reign in society.

So who will you be? My wife? Mistress? In-house help? Childcare? We could have you play one or several different characters throughout.
(We can take a different look at this and come up with a completely separate, alternate timeline or society as well if you want).

Ancient Rome (Historical/Harem):

Roman General Mathias Ultimo has served nobly. Starting as young legionnaire he had started on the staff of a prominent Roman commander who went on to serve as emperor, helping to advance Mathias' career considerably. Over the last 30 years, Mathias had commanded Roman legions in Palestine, the Far East, Egypt, North Africa, Germania, Gaul, and Iberia. His successes had been rewarded by his emperors with fine gifts and tribute from each of these lands. But now he was done. As payment for his services over his many years, he had awarded a job as Governor of a province in southern Italy, by all respects a cushy job. In reality, his job was to oversee the vineyard he now owned and stay out of politics so that his popularity didn't sway somebody else's rule.

Mathias had no interest in politics. He was quite content to exercise, drink, read, and enjoy the fruits of his labor. In his final years as general, Mathias had been sure to ship in servant women who reflected the conquests of the years. He now had with him a considerable array of women to choose from depending on his tastes for the day. Indian, Arab, Jew, African, Italian, Spanish, French, Celtic, Germanic, he had them all at his disposal. He intended to enjoy his retirement.

Imperial Might(Historical):

This we can play out in any place in any era: British in India/Middle East, Belgians in the Congo, Americans in the Caribbean/Pacific/Middle East/American West, Spanish in South America, any major European power in China/Africa... you get the picture...

As such I won't give too many parameters here, but there are some ideas:

Governor of a local province: Perhaps I've taken a local wife or perhaps the local leaders just want me to marry their daughters to solidify alliances. Regardless, there I have enormous power over trade, political alliances, business opportunities, education, military training. I decide who gets what and when.

Military occupation: We have come to bring peace and civilization to your nation. It's not exactly a surprise that you resisted, but you don't even really know what you're resisting. These strong, powerful conquerors have showed up with weapons and ways of doing things that you could never have even imagined. Who are these people? The way they carry themselves... the assurance with which they go about their work... it's a level of confidence hitherto unheard of. We will teach you: give you technologies, trade, education that you've never even dreamed possible. Your people with thrive on a new scale. And you could be a part of it... if you wanted.
