We hadn't known each other for a long time or anything, it was a friend of a friend that had introduced us. We played some of the same games, and inadvertently ended hanging out for longer than intended. Most of it was in group settings, the doldrums of day to day hangouts interspersed with random chats about the game, or about small bits of our lives. It was normal, more so than normal actually. It was as dull as dull could be. Least it was until everyone had gotten drunk one night and started sharing a bit about themselves; photos, jobs, where they lived, what big life plans they had. Turns out that the two of us lived close to each other.
Close in this case being within literal spitting distance. Walking distance actually, if we were feeling... adventurous! I hadn't known you were a trans-girl before that late, drunken night. I really didn't mind, and after the photo sharing I was harboring more than a bit of an attraction, and part of me hoped that you might be doing the same. It was completely wrong of course, considering that I had been engaged for over a year now. But what we were doing was... just talking. Innocent chatting that hadn't even gone beyond the realm of harmless flirting. Just a couple people in a budding new friendship.
At least until we started exchanging more photos, and then invited me out for coffee. I'd been honest that I had a fiancée, and that I was pretty happy with our friendship. You'd reassured me of the same, and that you just thought it might be interesting to hang out with someone in our friend group, but in real life. It had taken me far too long to consider, but after I'd settled on it, it was a quick yes. It was just coffee, right? What else could possibly happen?
Just a bit of a long term, slowish burn homewrecking prompt! I'm certainly up to take this as fast, or as a slow as you'd like! Additionally, I'm happy to start it at the start of it all, halfway through, or right at the point where they're getting coffee! I always try to be flexible.
For those curious souls, all previous prompts are open as well!
Hope everyone's having a wonderful week!
