As I sit in my office, the weight of the day’s meetings and decisions pressing down on me, I can’t help but let my thoughts drift to her. Emily. The bright, ambitious rising star in our company. Her enthusiasm and sharp intellect have caught everyone’s attention, but it’s her genuine smile and the way she carries herself that truly captivates me.

I watch her through the glass walls of my office as she discusses a project with her team. Her laughter, light and melodic, reaches my ears and stirs something deep within me. It’s been months since I’ve felt any real connection with my wife. Our conversations have become routine, our intimacy almost nonexistent.
