I go above and beyond for my girl, I work hard for her to provide and give her the life she wants. I keep her happy, and I thought the saying “happy wife, happy life” would have some benefits for me, yet here I am, feeling neglected. I’d love for her to turn around and go “tonight’s all about you”, listen to my desires and please me without judgement.

But no. I don’t ever get that. It’s just more work with me getting very little back. I remember it was the same when I was dating. Women had all these ridiculous expectations for you as a man, yet as soon as you say you prefer a blonde over a brunette you’re the worst man in the world.

And the saying “happy wife, happy life” is so built into society that no one ever questions it like they do with other phrases. “Ball and chain” also comes to mind. All it says to me is some women can make a man’s life misery - why is it like that? Why don’t they feel appreciated by their girl?

I’d love to talk to a woman between the ages of 18-40 who understands her place, why I’m frustrated and what she’d do for her partner to treat him, and listen to me and my desires. Or wants to talk about where women in society are going wrong these days.

We can discuss how you’d treat me after I get home from work, after telling you about my stressful day. Or maybe you just want to surprise me, make yourself look nice for me to put me in a good mood. Or maybe you actually just enjoy putting your partner first, which to me feels like a lost type of girl.
