After a breakup in a longterm relationship I decided I needed a change in my life. I decided that I was going to travel across the country, planning about a two week road trip and going it alone. I wanted to get out see some of the great national parks, do a lot of hiking and seeing states I had not seen previously.

I got my car checked getting a green light from a mechanic that my tires and engine are good (I know nothing about cars!) and would hold up for my journey. I also had camping supplies (though I planned on staying in some hotels/motels along the way), hiking supplies and some food. Unluckily for me though, my car did break down in a small town and that is where a local or police officer helps me get it to a mechanic in town to take a look at it. After an initial inspection I am told that it's going to take at least two days to get the part needed and I would have go stay in a motel in town

This is where things take a turn as I have no idea what I have gotten myself into. The police officer could plant something and arrest me, the mechanic could decide not to take a credit card as payment, the local could "offer for me to stay (handcuffed) in their home", or the motel owner could have secret cameras and traps set up to take advantage of me. Maybe you have followed me for a while and tampered with my car and could offer help.
