She can pick and choose which roles she wants, so when she read the script for the latest a24 quirky drama, she jumped at the opportunity. An odd-ball period drama about a royal family and their youngest daughter’s poor choice in men.

It was a small intimate crew, filming for a couple of month in the middle of nowhere, but with great names attached to the project and a great pay check, she was more than excited.

As the first day of shooting began she walked into the period drawing room for her first scene. As always, makeup artists were on standby to top up her makeup before the first take, producers and the director were talking about motive and innocence for the performance, and the general hustle and bustle of production rushed on around her.

That’s when she saw me.

A tall 6’3, dark haired, blue eyed camera assistant. She had seen her fair share of actors and attractive people in her time in the industry, but this was different. There was something different about this guy, and she wanted to find out what.

“Morning! If you just follow me to your spot, I can show you your marks”. I say as the producers turn to speak and discuss the scene with another actor.
