You knew Lucy was a bit bi before she did. She’s always been a shy young woman, but there was something different about the way she’d blush and stammer whenever you introduced her to any of the pretty girls you were seeing.

You and Lucy’s mom split when she was a toddler, and since then you haven’t dated a girl over 25. Lucy’s just about the age of the girls you date now, but she seems much more innocent. You sure hope she isn’t ashamed or embarrassed about crushing on other girls. Hell, it’s the kind of thing any red-blooded man would encourage. You set about doing just that, asking her what she thinks of pretty girls, telling her it’s healthy to “experiment.” Pretty soon, you’re sharing with her a favorite girl-on-girl scene of yours. It’s artsy and black and white, just the thing to get her started. She turns beet red, but you make her watch the whole thing and you can tell you’ve more than planted a seed.

Things escalate further when you start dating Nicole. She’s just a couple years older than Lucy, but the polar opposite in personality. A vivacious bartender/yoga teacher with a phenomenal rack. She’s bi too, so you ask her advice about coaxing Lucy out of her shell. “Oh, I’d love to coax her myself,” Nicole purrs one night, her manicured nails trailing over your chest.

You never want Lucy to feel like a third wheel, so you invite her to join you and Nicole for margaritas in the hot tub one night when she’s home. What could go wrong, right?
