It's an unseasonably warm evening right at the end of Fall. The trees have long since let go of their leaves, which now toss around in the wind outside. My bedroom window is cracked open, inviting in a crisp draft of fresh air. The sun is just beginning to get ready for bed, painting the sky a sweet palette of purple, orange and pink.
