It was the greatest day of your life when you got the email. You had been selected, due to your skills and background, to fly aboard the Colony Vessel Celestial— the latest and greatest colony ship departing earth for a new life of exploration among the stars. You wasted no time in getting your affairs in order, and every second of the 6 months between your approval and your boarding seemed to tick by slowly.

But of course, your new life on a fabulous green planet was not going to come quick. Everyone on board the enormous vessel (a ship so big it can be seen from the surface of Earth) would submit to cryosleep for a period of 114 years while the vessel travelled at close to 0.8c through the darkness.

No problem. Cryosleep is safe, and you'd be there before you knew it.

But, to your initial shock and horror, that's not what happened.

Midway through your journey, you awake early. You find yourself alone on this massive ship hurling through the void. You can't simply go back to sleep. You're stuck. And unless you can find a way to knock yourself back out, you will remain in this void, growing old in these steel corridors, for the rest of your days.

But this is not going to be a simple task. Yes, there are technical hurtles, but there is something bigger going on here. Your wakeup was no accident.

There is an intruder on this ship.
