I know people often are curious to hear others’ stories about their first times having sex, but I want to take it in a different direction.
How should you have lost your virginity? Knowing what you know now about how your life has worked out, how would you rewrite your personal history?
I can imagine a lot of changes that could be made: have your first time sooner/later, with a different person, with a different gender, with a different frame of mind, with someone older/younger. Hopefully that gets you thinking!
I didn’t lose mine until I was well into my 20s. I would write myself a story where I would have asked out Crissy from my freshman dorm, instead of trying to be just friends. We got along so well and had the best conversations I’d ever had; everything just flowed between us.
At the time, I was so happy to have someone like her in my life that I was afraid to suggest we could date. In my head were lots of reasons to not ask her out, but I’d certainly give it a try if I could go turn back the clock to those days.
I’m happy to talk more about how that could have worked out, and how I found myself in the same situation with her 20 years later.
Hopefully this will trigger someone’s imagination because I think it could be a fun conversation to have. Obviously, any new losses of virginity will occur after you’ve turned 18.
I definitely prefer Reddit chat, but messages are okay if you can get them to go through! Please include a name and your age and let's chat :)
