Hello everyone, I really enjoy doing roleplays in which two characters connect in some way, and develop an interest. Usually I like there to be something preventing them from acting on it. Or if they act on it, they can't continue, it's a mistake for some reason (other than cheating, I don't like cheating and for it to involve that requires pretty specific background stuff).

This can be something like enemies to lovers (could be a fantasy setting for instance), best friends to lovers, best friend's sister is fun, or something where there's a hookup, one person thinks it's something other than that but basically doesn't hear back but something comes up later that brings them back together and eventually that leads to something. Even reluctant arrange marriages can be very fun!

It can even be something like childhood friends who haven't seen one another in ages. There's a lot of ideas that really appeal to me. But something I've found is important is some kind of obstacle. That obstacle can exist before, or after some kind of hook up. It can exist before but not matter to the characters in the moment, but is super important after. The point is, some source of drama is great. And I'm happy to craft something with you.

In an effort to keep with the rules, I will give an example of my writing within a scenario of best friend's little sister, this will be first person, but I'm also happy to do 3rd if you prefer!

When I arrive at the party I almost stop myself from entering. First of all, I'm a couple of hours late. I was debating coming at all, but Jack was insistent. And then of course, he got called into work. So here I was, by myself, just sort of hoping it wouldn't be weird. But it's definitely weird going to a party at 25 isn't it? I've been out of college for two years, but I hadn't been home in a while, and apparently there were going to be a bunch of people from back in the day who were there. It's not like I thought I'd be the oldest person at the party or anything, but when you're a teacher it's so weird when you run into younger people at things like this.

I was at least an hour from where I lived and worked currently, it's not like I expected one of my former students to be here, but the thought of it made me want to vomit. But eventually I dragged myself through the door, and was greeted by what felt like a wall from the music. The house was huge, and there had to be 80 people shoved into the place.

As I weaved my way through the crowds of people I immediately heard someone yelling about a keg stand a room or two over. That made me laugh, and I decided to see what exactly was going on. People were already counting, and by the time I got reasonably close were up to 25 seconds, a really short girl wearing a black top, and... what could generously be called shorts was being held up by a couple of people and really going to town.

Eventually I found myself caught up in the counting from the people standing around laughing, the girl's hair was a disheveled mess falling down over her face, but when someone hits 50 seconds it's hard not to be blown away. She was also very obviously attractive, and I can't pretend that didn't help me prolong finding something to drink, but at least the whole thing had immediately distracted me from my weird concerns about being at a party, nobody even looked twice at me. It was fine.

Well, almost. Because at about 67 seconds the pretty girl we all cheered for was put back on her feet, and shook her head to get her hair out of her face, whooping triumphantly. And I found myself shaking my head. Waiting for the face attached to the girl to change. But it wouldn't. I blinked, I lightly slapped myself once, but it didn't do anything. I just watched and cheered on Jack's little sister doing a keg stand.

I hadn't seen her in what must be 5 or 6 years, well, nothing beyond a brief glimpse in passing. And I couldn't help the disbelief in my voice when I stepped forward and half growled at her, "Tara, what the fuck are you doing here?"

Anyways, that's a scenario, and gives you an idea how I write. I'm detailed, and I'd like my partner to be as well. I don't need that much every time, and I don't write that much every time. Sometimes shorter posts are important! But I do think filling up the page can be fun!
