The grandfather clock in the living room chimed 6:00pm as Tristan kicked back in his chair, scrolling aimlessly on his phone. The chime of the push notification was almost covered by the echoing clock, but he smiled as it lit up the screen. Pausing for a moment to think, he shot back a reply and slipped the phone into his pants pocket. He was dressed sensibly in grey slacks a white undershirt, and a navy blue robe draped across his broad shoulders. A shock of dark brown hair covered his head and his blue eyes gleamed over a full beard. He took a sip of a glass of water from the coffee table and flicked off the lights, walking upstairs to his bathroom. He raked a comb through his beard and rinsed his face with water. A spritz of cologne and a crisp green shirt, and Tristan stepped out of his penthouse apartment. On the elevator ride down to the underground parking garage, he slipped his phone out of his pocket and checked his messages. There was only one: "Want to do the Starbucks on 5th Avenue? I can meet you there in 30 minutes." It glowed. He smiled as the elevator doors dinged opened, and stepped out into the garage.
