The Kingdom of Ako is a nation known across the world as a beacon of culture, wealth, divinity, and prosperity. With a population of over 14 million (of which almost half live in the greater area surrounding the capital, Ako City). An archipelago nestled in the Great Sea, Ako sits between the smaller Sultanate of Kai K'zhar to the east and the much larger Empire of Pawa to the north. Pawa is far more prosperous and is increasingly more technologically advanced than Ako, and the Empire, ruled by the tyrannical Empress Celeste II, is becoming more and more aggressive and reckless by the day. It seems like peace between Ako and Pawa is unstable.

And you, Your Majesty, Queen of Ako, Mistress of the Seas, are the one in your dynasty who may decide your people's fates.

The World

This is a fictional fantasy universe, set on an earth-like planet and mostly concentrated around the 13 Realms, a set of human-run nation-states of which Ako is one. This universe has arcane magic, a divine power, and though monsters do exist, they have largely been driven out in the lands of the 13 Realms, confined instead to the Outlands, the uncivilised part of the world.

This world has no males. Instead there are females (like in our world) and futanari, or futas. They are feminine-presenting but in addition to carrying a female reproductive system, they also carry a penis and testicles. Futas make up some 40% of the global human population.

The Nation

Ako comprises of set of islands (a poorly drawn map is available, you will see it soon). The Core Island is small and mostly comprises of the main city, Ako City. There is also a well-populated island to the south (hence "South Island") which serves as a breadbasket for Ako. The North Island and East Island are large but mostly uninhabited, home to difficult terrain unsuitable for large-scale settlements: mostly naval fortresses and mining outposts.

The culture of Ako is somewhat comparable to a hybrid of Chinese and Japanese culture: somewhat isolationist, a strong sense of the collective, and a clear social class system.

Ako has a state religion: The Cult of Dragona. Akoans are dragon-worshippers; very few have been seen around Ako in the last thousand years, but the Cultist women who run the temples wield immense power from the dream world. All followers of the Cult have a personal "spirit dragon", something of a guardian angel that they can occasionally speak with and get advice from in the dream world. The Cult is mostly non-denominational, but there are some more obscure sects (such as the Fire-Worshippers on the East Island, or the Death-Worshippers dotted throughout the country).

The overall geopolitical strategy of Ako could be compared to that of historical Britain: large navy, small army. The Royal Akoan Navy is one of the finest in the world, and is used to keep trade routes open, both overseas and domestically. Ako's last major conflict was called "The Pirate Wars", a conflict at sea some 30 years ago against a pirate confederation seeking to rise up against the crown. Ako decisively defeated them, and has seen peace ever since.

Ako is in the midst of a Golden Age, albeit one that is winding down. Akoan art, music, and magic are the best in the world, but the class system that has been in place for millenia is starting to show cracks. Additionally, relationships with the Empire of Pawa have been declining, largely due to isolationist Akoan trade policies.

The Queen

You will be playing as the Queen of Ako. You are an absolute monarch, with many titles to your name. You ascended to the throne only three years ago, following your mother's untimely death to a common parasite. It was devastating as she was popular, but fortunate for you since you got to take power so young. You currently have no spouse and no heir.

You have all the power in Ako. The country is divided into smaller duchies, but almost all of the Duchesses are relatives or are close friends. Every duchy that is of major strategic or economic importance is controlled by someone who at least respects you.

Given all this power, it's probably a bit overwhelming. Here is a brief (and non-exhaustive) overview of the resources you have access to:

• A small standing army of professional soldiers, with the capacity to raise more via conscription

• A large navy of frigates, cruisers, battleships, a flagship, as well as a personal royal yacht, the Akoan Delight

• A Council of five close high-level advisors: a marshal, a foreign affairs minister, a spymaster, a court mage, and a religious advisor

• A group of 16 elite and world-renowned spies: The Queen's Daggers. They operate both domestically and overseas, and can complete almost any operation alone or in teams

• A large palace in Ako City, as well as a smaller Winter Palace in a small town on the South Island

• A harem of seven girls, including a Head Girl. A few of the women in your harem were inherited from your mother, but most were selected by you.

Uncertain times are coming to Ako, and they are coming fast. You will be tested, so you will have to use these resources to their greatest possible extent. (That said, the Queen's gotta get some R&R too, right?)
