In the not too distant future society has drastically changed. Another major world war and environmental disasters have turned the world and changed societies forever. This is one of them:

The country we live in turned more and more authoritarian, building around a personal cult of the leaders and national values at their core. Believing into maximizing the output of their men they realized something. There are men who can't do anything but very talented women who would be way better in their place. So they started to completely reform how kids grow up.

When turning 19 every kid goes into a year-long process of evaluation. Body, mind, personality, work ethic, personal values (and how much they align with the governments) and many more things are all scrutinized and ranked. The best 50% will be men from that point on while the lower 50% will be women meaning that only the best half of the population will make up the workforce, soldiers, scholars and scientists while the other half stays at home. Of course because of this, women are objectively worse in the society so patriarchal values now have a valid foundation. Women are basically owned by their men, not allowed to have property or work or pursue further education, completely at the mercy of their men. After their change the future pairs are selected. Men are allowed to propose to Women who then have to choose someone who proposes to them. From that point on, they are husband and wife until death does them apart.

I would love us to play 2 20 year olds who just got their results and transformed. The transformation can be either by Body Swapping (like men who get into the lower 50% swap bodies with women who get into the upper 50%) or sci-fi surgeries. There are basically 3 different options that I would like to play

Option 1: We are both guys and I get turned into your wife. Option 2: Same but you get turned into my wife. Option 3 (If you are an F): You get turned into a guy while I get turned into your wife.

Who we are exactly is something I would like to settle with you before we start. Either a more romantic approach like 2 long time friends. Or something more dark like we got no match and so are basically forced into an arranged marriage. Or anything in between.
