Today im looking for a partner for a new rp idea i had. My main idea was for this to either be pure fantasy or modern fantasy, but i could see it work in a different, modern or even sci fi setting as well with some twists and tweaks.

The base idea is simple. The world lives in fear of a tyrant king and his kingdom, a kingdom that had spent centuries in war, claiming more and more land as their own and trampling over every other kingdom in their way. The war had only stopped a decade ago when the remaining nations reached a agreement with the tyrant. Every year, each kingdom would send out their fairest, best behaved young lady as a sacrifice to him. If he was pleased with her, the kingdom would be allowed to exist for another year, if he wasnt, he would crush them. Thats why many kingdoms had built special schools and institutions over the past few years, taking young girls and telling them how much of an honor it is to be chosen as a sacrifice, to be gifted to the merciful tyrant. The girls, often orphans, would be raised into adulthood in these insitutions under strict rules. They would receive a pretty expansive eduction, including playing instruments, dancing and other talents that might amuse the king. Then, once they reach adulthood, they are ready to be picked. The young woman usually spend a few years at the school past this point, getting a chance to be sacrificed year after year. Once they are deemed unfit as a sacrifice, due to being too old, they become the caretakers and teachers of the next generation. However, no matter how often the teachers speak about what a honour it is to be chosen, the rumors never stopped, rumors what the tyrant does with the sacrifices, how they apparently never leave his throneroom alive.

You were chose as such a sacrifice, your body wrapped in the most expensive clothes money could buy as you get prepared to be sent off. People lining the streets and cheering, thanking you for your sacrifice. Even the king himself bows to you.

Thats the basic idea and i have two twists in mind now. Either the rumors are completely false and your character ends up finding herself added to the tyrants collection of gorgeous women or the rumors are actually true and each sacrifice, until now, had found a gruesome end but he takes a special interest in you, making you the first sacrifice to leave his throne room alive.
