It all started as a big lie. The kind of lie many men tell when they’re trying to show off to other men. 6 months ago, my divorce from your mother was finalized. It was a messy divorce. My company always held a huge 4th of July party, but I just wasn’t feeling it this year. So when my boss asked why I didn’t come, I lied.
