Due to increased automation and AI teck further decreasing the job market it was decided by the powers that be that only one of the parents needed to work while the other stayed home. Going back to tradition the women were now staying home while the men went out and worked. Of course there were protests but with close to a 50% unemployment, employers were following the law and their female staff were let go. Things calmed down and after the crisis most women did not return to work.

Education changed and while the men often went to university after they graduated while the women often went to a special finishing school. due to the increased in algorithms the women that often went to the finishing schools would be assigned a husband that they would be 100% be compatible with and the facilities had the reputation of creating perfect households.

So you will be playing as the man who just was assigned his wife and you knew when the mywife app was downloaded to your phone, telling you a little bit about me, and the day before I was either to be picked up at the facility some 20 miles away or delivered to you.
