Charity shops and concealed markets are like a game of roulette; there's a good chance you'll leave with a lighter wallet and little to show for it. But sometimes, on those rare occasions that luck seems to be on your side you could walk away with something remarkable. For me, the true value of my find was concealed long after payment had been made.
Flicking through one of the antique books, an early edition of Mary Shelley's Frankenstein, I watch in horror as a small bundle of cards wrapped with twine emerge from between the pages and collapse onto the table below. Someone had cut out a large rectangular segment to presumably hide the pack away. What an awful waste of such a valuable book, perhaps this is why it was so cheap.
Consoling myself with the knowledge that the leather-bound spine of the desecrated novel would still look pleasant upon a shelf, I reach for the cards, tussled loose from their wrappings by the fall. Each design bares striking detailed colours and what looks to be a hand-drawn style. The material itself is firm, almost unbendable. I would guess it to be some kind of wood covered in parchment paper. The corners of the cards are rounded, and although the pages of the book had been yellowed and covered with dust over the years, no such imperfections lie upon the deck. They could be a thousand years old, or made yesterday, I would have no way of telling.
Wrapping them back up with the loose string of twine, I place the pack into my trouser pocket. It should serve as a conversation-starter at the very least. Perhaps I'll show it to my friends when they come to visit later.

Thanks for reading through my prompt! The basic premise for this roleplay is that my character found a set of cursed playing cards that bring about unexpected consequences for losing a game. The main idea I had in mind was that the winner could choose a body-part of someone or something to swap with. Ideally this would be set in a farm-house, giving us plenty of options for animal parts to choose from as well. We could play one character each or multiple.
I have a short bio that can be found here: https://www.reddit.com/r/DPPprofiles/comments/12nlrl4/fb21\_ashs\_profile/
It has some information about me and my other prompts, along with a full list of my kinks and limits. Generally speaking the fewer limits the better, but I'm always happy to try and accommodate my partners.
Discord is preferred, and I'll try to answer any questions you may have. I look forward to seeing your orange envelopes!
