Weeks had passed and her pulse would quicken when the white, notification light blinked to life on her phone. Only one application had a white notification light…and she was only talking to one person via that messenger service. It wasn’t as though the odds didn’t favor her- she was more likely to attract attention through this medium than just about any other one. But this time it seemed different…certainly the consistency was impressive. The communication effortless and constantly evolving; she found herself looking forward to it.

On occasion, the light would flash while she was busy at work dealing with a client. More than a few times she’d opened it unawares and nearly dropped the phone again; blushing furiously at words that acted like quicksilver bolts, directly to her core. She hoped that her face didn’t appear nearly as florid as it felt after receiving some salacious suggestion or another from him.

Of course…she had no one else to blame but herself. She started it with a picture…a casual image, suggestive, but not overly so. It was designed to provoke a response and indeed it had.

It’s not that every conversation they had involved prurient details…No, quite often they discussed politics and world events, with humor AND intelligence. He always asked her how her day was and other questions that showed how attentive he was during previous conversations.

She leaned back in her chair to stretch, when a mighty yawn escaped her lips. It was late again and she’d been up polishing up another prompt for the subreddit. Just as she was saving her document she heard a chime from her phone and caught a white light blinking…it was him, he seemed to have impeccable timing.

I seek an engaging, literate, non-feels adverse male pen friend to begin a new correspondence with. He must be able to connect on multiple levels simultaneously, switch code rapidly, and communicate clearly via the written word. Must be a gifted wordsmith with a voracious appetite for the current vernacular as well as a demonstrated propensity towards verbosity.
