Farming can be a peaceful life. The rattle of the plough as it glides across the land may be unassuming to the average person, but to Ash it reminds him of home. Even the uncouth scent of distant animals provides a degree of comfort. Undoubtedly there will be much he will miss on his journey to realms afar. He bids farewell to his sister, Lucy, the only surviving relative he knew of, and sets foot into the wilderness of the west.
Three years ago on the boy's 18th birthday, a blinding light illuminated his town in its entirety. What followed was a quake and the sound of a tremendous boom. It was like nothing Ash had ever heard before. At the time he thought a titan had fallen, destroying the seasons harvest.
However, when he and Lucy dashed out into the field to investigate the commotion, they found something thoroughly unusual; a crater at least ten feet wide had formed in middle of their corn crop. At the centre was a small luminous stone, just big enough to fit in the palm of one's hand. It had a light blue tint, with wispy smoke traversing the surface in a mysterious way. At first the stone was hot to the touch, but given enough time Ash was capable of lifting it by using cloth as insulation. He knew not of its origin, nor its nature, but its value was undoubtedly great.
The following morning the pair took the rock to a Dwarven wizard known to live in his tower atop a nearby hill. In exchange for a goat, he informed them that what they had discovered is known as a "Voidstone." A rare artefact rumoured to strike the Earth every few centuries. Most simply splash into the ocean or fall somewhere uninhabited never to grace sentient hands. Very few are known to exist, and those that do are prized by only the wealthiest collectors. The last voidstone was found by a travelling merchant, who gave it to the Emperor of Alberland in exchange for a dukedom and a lifetime of wealth.
Because of their highly sought-after nature, and the fact that most known to exist are kept strictly under lock and key, even the most prestigious scholars have faced difficulty in studying their nature. They are clearly magical, and possess some great arcane power, but for now, they exist only as a point of fascination in the halls of the wealthy. Legends do exist that the stone can bestow the wielder powers far greater than wealth could possibly buy.
With this information at hand, the siblings made an agreement to keep the stone a secret until they were able to sell it. This would ultimately prove difficult, as many rumours were circulating the town about the mysterious bright lights. At one point a barkeeper was even killed by a drunkard because he had become convinced that the tavern was hiding a voidstone behind the counter. It turned out to simply be a rare kind of Elven blue liqueur.
After three years of strife, saving up enough money to keep the farm going, the siblings were finally able to put their plan into action. Lucy would stay at home, enlisting the help of additional farmhands whilst Ash would travel abroad in hopes of selling the stone. Naturally they dreamed of untold riches beyond their wildest dreams, but as the brother left town he found himself succumbing to something unexpected...

Yep, I'm leaving the prompt at an annoying cliff-hanger! The true nature of the voidstone is something for us to come up with together. I have a few thoughts on what it could do, but I'm interested to find out what ideas you might have. I'm almost limitless so it could be just about anything from transformation to unnatural attraction to something creative and completely unexpected! My kinklist can be found here if you want inspiration: https://i.imgur.com/xdWCMUY.png
I'm more than happy if you'd like to change up any part of my prompt! I made it rather vague on purpose so that we could come up with something unique together!
I only have three rules and those are: Don't infringe on my limits (I won't infringe upon yours.) Don't be illegible or only write one or two sentences at a time (obviously amount will depend on context.) And finally please don't be mundane, I'd like for this to be a creative and interesting experience!
As for your character(s), I would prefer for you to take something of a GM role, but if you'd like, I'm sure we could come up with a way for you to play a single character and control the world jointly. Just let me know which you would prefer.
I have a reference prepared for Ash if you'd like to see it, and I look forward to your thoughts on where this could lead! Also feel free to check out my bio if you'd like some more information about me and how I write!
