When you work for mages, getting fucked by work takes on a whole new meaning
No one talks about the business of magic.
Not magicians but actual sorcerers. Mages of great power who can cast spells that some would call miracles and others would swear are signs of the end times. For all their power very few of them are good at dealing with paperwork. Can you imagine a warlock trying to balance an expense report?
Thought so.
So an entire industry cropped up - people who could handle the mundane tasks the empowered were too busy - or ignorant of -to do themselves. But there were some unintended consequences.
See, when you get beings of great power together the collective psychic energy, well, it warps the rules of reality. The long and short of it is that the office building became overrun with avatars of bureaucracy. But these beings of magic were imbued with all the needs of the people who walked the halls - psychic energy, remember? - and that makes for some interesting occurrences.
It started normal. A stack of packages delivering mail, a stoic embodiment of mandatory fun standing in the corner during a birthday celebration with a noise maker. There was a chatty water cooler and a grumpy coffee spirit that always needed to be taken care of. But after one of the mages had a rough night. Things started to change.
It started when an administrative assistant complained about getting screwed by HR. Suddenly she was in a meeting and a stack of animated benefit forms then her over a desk and jam her full of different options for health insurance in a rather intimate region. Suddenly it happened elsewhere. A copier malfunction meant a being of ink spewing magenta and cyan down the throat of a mail clerk. The coffee corner stopped needing to be refilled and instead desired to do the topping off. And don't think too hard about what happened when the HVAC system went on the fritz...
Looking to play a somewhat absurd office scene in a world where magic (and fantasy creatures) are real. Be prepared for reams of paper doing the reaming and people getting caught in the janitor's closet with an avatar of the night shift cleaning crew.
