Rori was a man getting up there in his years. As a common cybernetics-specialist in Night City's red-light district, he spent most days in his workshop, repairing salvaged augment for resale at a cheaper rate than his local competitors. He didn't care if the parts were from scavs, shady dealers, or the dumpster, that simply wasn't his buisiness. While many knew what they were getting themselves into with cheap mods, an unfortunate number of clients found their cyberwear malfunctioning or spreading malware through their peripheral systems. It didn't take long for them to figure out the source of these defects. The red-light district was home to The Mox, a faction of unionized sex workers, many of whom were customers of the oblivious cybernetics. One night, without warning, the middle-aged techy was tranquilizer and abducted from his workshop on Jig-Jig Street, and tied to a chair beneath Lizzie's Bar in Kabuki. With their perpetrator found, they intended to interrogate and punish the man responsible for so many of their comrades' cyber disabilities. Rori didn't yet know why he was captured, but whatever came, he knew he wouldn't be so easily dominated. As a veteran of the Fourth Corporate War, he'd experienced real torture, escaping with his sanity, unlike his fellow POWs. The Mox would soon find how tough he was to crack.
