Despite the ending to Pandemic life, Both of us were still basically relegated to on call drones that only logged into the office computer when asked. Even now, the days seemed to just drag on and we still refused to accept a return to normalcy. We didn't dress as well as we should have. Even now, we would crack open a giant bottle of wine that would disappear by close of business. It was goofy fun to at least past the time.

Still the dispensary is what always beckoned us.

Once we learned of its existence and how easy it was to get out to score a little weed was the day we gave up on trying to be any sense of normal. Sure, during the day, we'd appear normal on the outside and be responsible adults doing their work and following the rules. But, at night, we'd bring out our true selves. We'd show our card to the new club the two of us had formed.

We had become secret stoners.

Our lives had become like a speakeasy except it's our apartment and no one really cares as long as you kept the giggling down. Here was where all rules we're thrown out. You always seemed to enjoy sitting on the large wooden coffee table in little more than panties and a tank top. I would take these nights to talk about my views of the world and how Futurama was better than The Simpsons. A box of pizza or some Chinese takeout was always near. The nights were perfect. Eventually the flirting would pick up and we’d be giggling up a storm while cuddling during a movie or throwing down on Mario Kart. You always had a knack for getting horny after edibles.

Now, pandemic life has mostly been tossed into the fire as the world continues to spin. Yet we're still just relaxing after a few hits of the vape. Sure, we might have stayed up late tonight but the the new Zelda just came out recently and let’s gear for some gaming since we have no plans for our long weekend. Who says the office needs us tomorrow? Fuck it, I already took tomorrow off.
