If you're reading this, it's because you remember this experiment. It was done years ago, by a professor of psychology at an exclusive and elite university, but it's methods were extremely controversial. It led women in the study to feel jittery, cause heart palpitations and even led to one woman suing the university for damages afterwards. But among a small fraction of the study participants, it boosted their sexual libido permanently, in a small but noticable way. It was widely covered on CNN, but it's since faded from most of our collective memory. The box was a literal mind reader, one that listened to the exact breathing patterns from a participant and could predict their excitement level, often even before the participant experienced it themselves.
He was eventually axed from the department for conducting an experiment that led women to believe they had no free will. It wasn't ethical, which is why no university of any repute would even consider replicating this study again. When I came across it, I was skeptical that asking a series of questions like this could possibly trigger such a powerful reaction from anyone.
I have built a similar "box", and I'd like to invite anyone who is 25 and over to participate. Unlike the previous experiment, this one works by predicting what will arouse you, even if you don't realize it yet.
If you have read this far, think of a single letter in your mind. Reply back with the following question for the box : "Which is the one letter I'm thinking of?"
It's never been wrong so far. Good luck.
