The clouds looked to be an inky black against the unnaturally crimson sky, swirling menacingly around the city back drop.

And the leader of them- the one most responsible for your downfall here..what started out as extreme annoyance grew into something so much more. Watching her grow from a humble beginner navigating her newfound powers too a full fledged worthy opponent was something that, now, you wouldn’t trade for this dumb world.

Her raw power mixed with that peculiar sense of justice, a heart that was soft and innocent, always trying her best for the ones she loved, even trying to give you one of those protagonist friendship speeches from time to time- oh yes. There was something just so…attractive about it now. So cute. Truly adorable.

You forget when the tides shifted, too when the playful teasing to throw her off during your fights became real. When your goals started to align with what you wanted, not what was needed.

There were a million other planets like earth in the galaxy to harvest, there would never be another her.

So that’s where you find yourself now, having been able to steal some ancient artifact that’d granted you the power you were wielding now. You were going to get what you want and finally /leave/ after two years of frustrations.

She holds her comrade, the blue one, in her arms on the ground. They’re not dead, just simply roughed up, out of power and now passed out. The rest of the team is in equal shape.

“I’m going to give you this choice, once.” You begin, using your own powers to nonchalantly have the collar one of your engineers had designed for you materialize in your hand.

“Come with me and I spare this planet- or don’t and die with everything else.” Her bright green eyes grow wide as she stares up at you.

“Youre insane!” Says the little yellow one, but you pay no mind to them as your watch the options weighing behind her eyes.

She opens her mouth, pastel pink curls a mess around her face. “Please, if you just let me-“

You hold up your free hand to stop her before she gets too far, you’ve no patience for her optimism of how you might be a good person if you try. You watch as she stops mid-sentence, white cat ears now laying flat against her head as her eyes continue the pleading you halted.

“Not today, kitty-cat. I’ve given you the only choices. Pick.”

Her team begs her, tells her there’s more they can do but it’s fruitless. You can see in her face she’s made up her mind. Your feet touch the ground softly and you can’t help the slight smile on your face as you see her rise, giving her friends a signature speech about how it will all be okay.

Then she’s in front of you- a smart girl, as always, she doesn’t need an explanation for what the collar was for and simply gathered her hair in her hands, presenting you her neck in an obvious answer to the question given.

Hearing that little snap of a buckle never sounded so beautiful. She was yours.

Hello! In honor of tokyo mew mew's reboot, I took one of the concepts that def made me have some awakenings when watching it in the early 2000’s for this prompt! Sorry if it’s a bit too cliche haha.
