I became a teacher because I wanted to help shape young minds into being productive members of society. I teach the 6th grade at Franklin Elementary School. Usually. However due to an emergency, I was asked to cover for another teacher in a much younger class room, second grade. It's pretty easy, to be honest, compared to the older children.
It's been a little over three months and we're due to have our first round of parent teacher conferences. They go pretty well, the parents all tell me their kids come home and are excited to talk about their class with me.
You, however, are a single mother and it's hard for you to make time to come to the meeting due to your work. So we schedule a meeting for your off day from work when you can get a sitter for your child.
We meet at the school on the weekend. There's no one else here with us. We can talk open and free. You call me and tell me you're on your way. I tell you to park near the south entrance, it's closer to my class. You'll see my car in the lot.
We could play this where you're the teacher instead, if you'd prefer that.
