You were looking for a change. A new style. Something a bit edge. The kind of thing that would get you attention. So you decided to get a haircut from a new place called Lux’s. It was downtown and seemed to specialize in punkish. Just the kind of thing you were interested in.
Lux’s was very authentic. A modern salon painted in bold colors. There were a couple of men and women getting their hair done. You approached the counter where a very tall woman with a bright green Mohawk stood waiting. She otherwise wore a leopard print blouse, leather pencil skirt and fishnets, and had a collar around her neck.
“Hi I’m Lux”. She had a deep voice.
You discussed wanting to try something different for a hairstyle.
“Come right with me.” She led you over to a seat facing a mirror. Then started touching your hair.
“You know, I can kind of imagine you with something long. You have a very feminine face. So perhaps we can work with that? Obviously we can’t grow your hair right now but how about I shave your head and then we try some wigs?”
You had never considered that you looked feminine. Looking around you, all the other men looked rather feminine too.
