Plot-
Eris had been only 10 when the war started. It was quite a painful realization to know he was no longer allowed to see his close friends again. His small brain couldn't think of why the two kingdoms would fight, but the truth was they had always been on the cusp of war. From that day forward he was not only trained in princely politics he was also trained in the art of war.
Eris's breath felt heavy as he stood, dagger drawn in the closet. The castle had been raided no more than 8 hours ago. initially, he had fought back but his wounds were now too severe for anything other than hiding. His clothes and hair were covered in a thick layer of blood, most of which was his own. He leaned against the wall of the small confined space. his knuckles were white as he desperately held onto this weapon.
Eris held his breath as the door to his room was open. he could only hear one set of footsteps. the steps drew closer and closer to the closet. Eris readied himself, using what little energy he had to prepare an attack. the closet doors swung open. Eris froze in place as he stared at the man before him. He had expected to see a soldier, but instead, he was standing before his childhood best friend. Eris froze, unable to move or even speak.
