My parents always told me that it's dangerous to hitchhike.
They were probably right, but... eh, who cares. The way my aunt talked about it one evening just had me hyped up to try it myself, even though the world had changed. I'm old enough after all!
So, one day I decided to just pack a bag, some extra clothes, my phone charger and some snacks, and went off on my own. Just down the road from my parents' house, it'd be a nice hike even if nobody picks me up. I even made a little sign, with the nearest town on it.
And... well, that's about it, honestly.
I didn't plan much, and I brought just enough money to cover the bus back home if I needed to. Aside from that, is there anything else than look pretty, smile, and hold out my thumb? I don't think so, so... wish me luck!
And maybe, just maybe... well, who knows what might happen? I've shaven, obviously... just to be on the safe side, obviously!
