The "discovery" of sex... It's a ridiculous notion, right? Kind of a chicken-and-egg scenario, even! Obviously, nobody discovered sex. Sex is instinctual, something that's been happening even before humans were around to do it!
But, my dear reader, I invite you to suspend your disbelief for a moment with me! Circumstances have conspired to put our characters together, naked and alone. They know how their bodies react when they see each other, even if they don't understand why. Heartbeat jumping, fluids leaking, something burning inside... "desire", a feeling mundanely familiar to us heathens that frequent this subreddit but utterly foreign to these two.
Who are they? Do they know each other- perhaps a pair of longtime friends on the brink of becoming something more- or are these two distrustful and wary strangers? Might it be that they already know how to pleasure themselves, and are sharing this secret knowledge with another for the first time?
THEMES
No matter what form this RP takes, I want to focus on a few key elements:
Emotion - Whether it's love, excitement, distrust, or even fear, I want to see it! So let's use dialogue, body language, and internal monologues to form windows we can use to glimpse their psyche.
Exploration - Remember, this is the discovery of sex! By definition, these characters are inexperienced paramours and they'll have to learn (from themselves and each other!) what feels good and what doesn't. For a long-term RP, they probably won't even figure out penetrative sex on their first meeting!
Explanation - Our characters aren't telepaths (well, okay, they COULD be, but that will add a whole 'nother layer of complexity to the prompt!), so they're only going to know what the other is feeling if told so. Indirect 'explanations' to the tune of "His hips jerked back as he wordlessly winced in pain. That was definitely not the right way to do this." can work fine, but this prompt definitely calls for a focus on verbal communication about consent, pain, pleasure, etc.
All totaled, I think these elements mean we'll be getting a little less action done per post than we're probably use to, with emphasis on more communication and reaction instead. Now, I'm never one to rush things along... but to be respectful with each other's time, we should discuss before starting what direction we'd like the RP to go. There's an old idiom, after all, that goes something like, "You have to learn how to frot before you can penetrate." Yeah... something like that. Well, is that true in our RP?
We need to be on the same page about whether our characters will graduate straight from fingering to vaginal penetration in a one-shot scene, or do a long-term RP that gradually ramps up from introductions to mutual masturbation to touching each other to cautious penetration to vigorous mating press with each step interspersed by confused discussion about what this weird white stuff is. So, as it turns out, communication is going to be key for this both in and out of character!
SCENARIOS
Now that you have an idea of what sort of scenes are simmering inside my skull, let's set the stage! Here are two possible settings ideas we could use for this RP. Mind you, these aren't the only two options I'm open to- so if you'd like to suggest a change or even bring an altogether new idea to the table yourself, I'm all ears!
Cyberscoundrel - For countless generations, humanity has been divided into strict castes of the hypercorp elite, their payrolled scientists and enforcers, and the uneducated laborers that toil day-in, day-out for company scrip. Ignorant people are easier to keep in line and your workers never need parental leave if they're not having kids in the first place, so over the course of several decades now distantly past, knowledge about sex (and reproduction) was thoroughly controlled and suppressed. Nowadays, if you ask a random person where babies come from, 99 times out of 100 you'll get an answer like, "From the test tubes the biolab-brainiacs play with,
choom. Duh." In a dismal, gritty future like this, pleasure just another product sold in pills... but our characters are about to figure out how to homebrew their own. The big question is, just how controlled is the secret of sex? Could nature simply take its course if our characters happen to spy each other's attractive, naked bodies in the shower stalls between shifts, or did past hypercorps go so far as to use genetic engineering to quash human sexuality altogether?Primordial - Our characters are truly are the first... not just the first to discover sex, but they are of the very first generation. Perhaps they are even the first two humans; a literal Adam and Eve! The gods, in their unknowable wisdom, decided to populate the world with men and women... but for their equally inscrutable reasons, they also saw fit to conceal men and women from each other. Maybe the ability to reproduce is a secret even to most of the gods, a little special something that the goddess of love slyly snuck in. Is it by her guidance that our characters cross paths at this pond's shore? "We are strangers, you and I," one might say to the other, "because although we speak the same words, your appearance is strange to me." I'm imagining an Eden-like paradise with a vaguely Greek cultural aesthetic; our characters meeting as they stray far from their homes, lost in the woods. Would they be innately trusting of each other, having never learned a reason in paradise to be anything but trusting? Or, alternatively, might they fear the other is sort of witch or demon like their gods warned them of, beguiling them with this inexplicable yet irresistible attraction?
KINKS
And lastly, we come to the "I'll show you mine, now you show me yours" section of this DPP prompt. There's no need for me to get too flowery with this part, so I'll keep it simple and straightforward.
Mandatory kinks - Verbally requested and provided consent, slow-burn relationship (not necessarily romantic, not necessarily not romantic, but definitely something significant to both characters)
Preferred kinks - Impregnation, nudity, mutual masturbation, begging, sensuality, aftercare, dubious consent, repeat encounters, OOC planning (okay, not really a kink, but still preferred!),
moody ambience, extended scenes of silent cuddling and/or introspection, piña coladas, getting caught in the rain, making love at midnight in the dunes of the cape, an altogether unnecessary amount of narrative investment in glorified typefucking, my god how did my prompt get here from what started as a two-sentence shower thought?Limits - Bimbos/himbos, scat, vore, gore, rape, NTR/cheating
Now, I've left out a lot here. There are a load of kinks I like in a general sense but didn't bother mentioning specifically because IMO they aren't specifically relevant to this scene. For example, tentacles. They're great, I love 'em, but they're not exactly in keeping with the spirit of this prompt about two people discovering all the wonderful feelings they can elicit in each other. Anyway, my point here is that if you have a kink you're itching to include, do speak up! As long as 1) it isn't one of my limits and 2) we can concoct a narratively-consistent way to fit it into the RP, I'm probably down for including it- even if for no other reason that to titillate you, my aspiring future penpal! :)
CONCLUSION
Like I said earlier, I'm not one to rush things. I don't plan on dying or going off the grid any time soon, so we've got plenty of time to get a feel for our chemistry and plan the RP. Although I'm not strictly opposed to playing this prompt out in a quick 'n dirty oneshot, you may have picked up from tone so far that potential partners who are interested in a long-term RP will have a leg up on the competition here. Funny how that wasn't my intention when I started writing this prompt, but if sometimes one bites off more than they can chew, I suppose you could say I'm chewing on more than I bit off here...
Anyway, I don't expect (or even want) to RP every day. As long as we're both still invested in the RP, I don't care whether it takes us an hour, a day, or even a whole week to make one post... actually, one post per week is probably pushing it a bit even for me, but hopefully you still understand the sentiment! If we enjoy talking to each other OOC, I think we can sustain our mutual interest in the RP for a lot longer than if all our interactions are exclusively sending RP posts at each other.
What else is there to say? Well, let's talk about you and me. My ideal penpal is human, possibly male or maybe female, or perhaps identifies as something else. :P Similarly, I'm not concerned about which one of us plays the man and which the woman- assuming, that is, that we even have a man and a woman for this RP, which isn't a given in the first place. As for me, in case it matters to you, I'm a 31-year old male living in the US state of Vaguely-Midwest, which means my time zone is CST. Thanks to the remote working lifestyle I am terminally online have a fairly flexible schedule. Sunday and Monday are my most available days, while Thursday and Saturday on the other hand are least available.
If you've read along this whole post, I'd like to thank you for your time whether the scenario I'm seeking is to your liking or not. I think I've just about exhausted myself of things to say! Feel free to contact me by message or Reddit Chat and say hello if you'd like to WORDS at me next.
