In case you aren't familiar with the latest slang, the number '304' on a calculator reads 'hoe' upside down, which is what the youth of today use to describe 'a promiscuous woman'. I didn't mean any disrespect by that, of course; I just thought I'd try to be cute and keep up with the times, so I apologize if that sounds crass or mean in any way.

If you're still with me, I'd like for you to picture this scene:

A college girl slides into a leathery restaurant seat, sighing and unburdening her shoulder of its handbag. She laughs with her hand over her mouth at something her friend said, tittering and leaning her body forwards, then backwards in that charming way that all men are secretly enraptured by.

Just a table away in the same restaurant, two college boys are taking a break from working on a math problem. One of them looks at the girls, and says to the other 'hey, I've seen her around campus'. There's a glint in his eye that says that he likes her voice.

The other gives him a barely perceptible shake of the head.'I know her', he says, then punches the number '304' into his calculator, and holds it upside down.

The young man who had first noticed her smiles, the grin reaching his eyes. The glint in them turns into a sparkle that suggests he thinks she's girlfriend material.

'Even better,' he says, rising from his seat and clearing his throat and already going through what he wants to say to her. First impressions are so important.

That girl would ideally be you, and that young man, me.
