It didn't look like a lesbian bar, just a quiet place to get a drink. I didn't even think about the fact that the clientele was entirely women, or that I got a few eyes on me as I made my way to the bar. All I knew was that I was exhausted from moving in and this place had 4.5 stars on Google.

I was new to the area, but not the city, recently breaking up with my live in boyfriend forced me to move into a more manageable one bedroom in a new area. Honestly i was excited to be out. It wasn't bad but it certainly lost its spark. Not to mention between roommates in college and then moving in with Aaron, it was liberating to live on my own, and this seemed like a great area, plenty of restaurants and bars, full of young people.

I dressed simply, a black t shirt and skinny jeans, my red hair back in a pony tail, still lightly damp at the tips from my shower. This was a lesbian bar. I suddenly became very aware off myself, that I was not supposed to be here. It's cool, relax, just finish your drink, pay up and leave. I thought to myself. I tried to get the check, but was informed that my drink was paid for. The bartender motioned over to you across the bar. I blushed and smiled, nervously waving to you.
