F4M Crushing on the cute young single dad coworker

Inspired by the TV show, where Raising Hope tells the story of a witless young man who has a one night stand with a serial killer, she gets pregnant from the one night stand, gets caught, has the baby in prison and after she is executed he winds up with the baby. On the show the MC winds up getting a crush on the girl who works at the grocery store, and winds up getting a job there too to be close to her. Of course she has a boyfriend but it only lasts till season 2.

Now, we can have less improbable sitcomish ways as to how our young man is a single father, that is just a very specific example from the show.

Originally on the show the two love interests are the same age, early 20s, but I would like to bump up the age of the love interest, but keeping the single father in that 19-23 range. Keeping them coworkers is absolutely an option, spending 8 hr shifts is a great way to get go know someone, you get off work at the same time, maybe share a smoke and an offer of a hangout.

While I do mostly the idea of them being coworkers in a retail, grocery or restaurant locations, I do also have a soft spot for working at the daycare or being the kindergarten teacher, something that would put the characters in close circles often. I'm happy to play out their first time and going on from there or jumping inthe morning after or weeks later and so on.
