There has been much debate as to why futas exist. Making up only 10% of the population, it can be rather puzzling to see what purpose they fulfill in terms of ensuring the continuation of a species. Fortunately, researchers believe they have discovered the answer to this age old question.

Clothed futas are often perceived at first glance to be female, with feminine traits such as breasts and wide hips. On average they are about 2-3 inches taller than the average male, along with penises that are 1.5-2in longer as well. While the majority of futas only have male genitalia, about 15% of futas have both male and female genitalia.

With traits such as these, it would be thought that futas would increase competition for female partners in reproduction or dating. However, recent studies have gained some surprising insight. A group of 200 futas were given a series of photographs of both males and females, and then asked which ones they viewed as attractive and would pursue. Surprisingly, 73% of the futas chose males with more “feminine” traits, such as those that were shorter, visibly weaker/more petite, and softer/feminine facial features.

Another study put 5 men and 5 women in a room under the guise of a singles meetup. 2 futas were then added to this room to also participate. It was theorized that the males would be competing with the futas for a female partner. However, often times the females had equal or even LESS options to choose from, as either one or both futas would select male partners to take home (Though it was not uncommon for both futas to select the same male and “share” him). Upon further study, the males selected by the futas had the same physical traits found favorable by the previous study.

These two studies lead researchers to believe that a futa’s purpose on the evolutionary scale was to prevent the weaker males from mating, which allows the stronger males to mate with more females. This continues into the modern day, with a majority of futas seeking out feminine men (Often referred to as “Femboys” in certain communities) for both casual interactions and long term relationships…
