Hello, dear reader! Are you currently planning a slave auction for highly affluent guests? Are you considering partaking in such an event yourself? Or are you, perhaps, more intrigued by the possibility of being subjected to such an arrangement? Chances are, you simply saw the catchy title of this article and figured it would beat reading about which celebs slayed at the Oscars. I hear you there!
No matter why you are here, Forbes Magazine got you covered. Over the course of the last few weeks, I got to follow the Host, a rather ominous person known as the creator of "Club Primordial". Club Primordial is a charity organization working against human trafficking in a rather intriguing way: They regularly plan auctions, all profits going to human rights watch and similar campaigns. But they are not selling art, not unique cars, nor dinner dates with celebrities! No, Club Primordial sells people. Their subjects are most often well-off too, rich and adventurous folks that want to explore (often sexual) servitude for weeks or months, even years at times!
There is a lot that goes into preparing such an auction - and to make sure that everything is ethical, safe, and obviously completely consensual, The Host stops at nothing. Follow along to find out exactly how to prepare a willing subject as a luxury slave!

Step 1: The right advertisements

Well, given that you are reading this, Club Primordial seems to have figured this part out quite excellently. The Host explained their thought process shortly after I first met them.

"Our target demographics are men and women that are not in need of money. Financial struggles offer an incentive that conflicts with clear and enthusiastic consent. Even though our subjects earn no money by auctioning themselves off, they are well cared for by their new owners - but that should be a luxury, not a necessity to survive or even seen as a job. As such, we mostly advertise our events in publications like these that are usually read by folks that can, well, afford to subscribe to financial magazines."

Well, you tell them whether they are right on that end. I was not entirely convinced either, but the host showed me documentation of their few auctions (all anonymous, of course). Over half of the attendants were indeed subscribers of this very magazine!
Aside from this, Club Primordial actively hosts more mundane events wherever beautiful people are gathered: After-show parties at Fashion Weeks across the globe draw in more attendants. Slaves-to-be at every place-to-be, no one should be surprised, right? Through these two avenues, Club Primordial recruits most of its merchandise, and a few more join through word-of-mouth. Under no circumstances, the host confirmed, would they ever reach out to someone directly.

"The first step has to be taken by the subject. It gives them power and shows deliberation, intention - its less often a spur-of-the-moment decision if they get to approach us at their own pace."

Well, what else is Club Primordial doing to make sure that their potential slaves apply for the right reasons?

Step 2: Thinning the herd

Other than monetary incentives, there are a few other reasons why a candidate might be unfit for an auction. The first one is rather blunt - beauty standards. While the members of Club Primordial have all sorts of preferences, the host and his employees need to make sure that any potential slave would meet those for at least a few guests. Otherwise, the auction could be quite embarrassing for either party!

We pride ourselves in diversity. Though most of our members prefer the looks you would see on the world's runways, we host events catering to other body types as well. It makes sense to split these auctions from each other - our club members want to see men and women they would be interested in, and most of our subjects want plenty of participation. It's only natural. My employees sort potential candidates, and if they end up being accepted for an auction, we will add them to catalogs sent out to our Club Members biannually. Those catalogs show off our merchandise for different auctions focused on different appearances, and our Club Members can choose which events they want to attend.

So, each applicant needs to look beautiful in some way - or fit the criteria of at least a dozen Club Members, as the host later specified for me. Of course, Club Primordial knows exactly what its members want to see - but there is more to this whole process.
If an applicant got through this first round by sending unedited, full-body polaroids to the company that matched the likings of some club members, the process continues. Extensive background checks tell the company everything they or a future slave owner could possibly want to know: From birth certificates to medical and criminal records to past sexual partners, nothing remains a secret. As all applicants have to disclose their financial situation, credit scores, and similar details, this also deals with the leftovers of the issue Step 1 wanted to get ahead on.
Where judging applicants' bodies already reduced the number of applicants by 95%, the second half of Step 2 halves that number yet again. You think that must be it, then? No, Club Primordial wouldn't stop here.

Step 3: Pillow talk

Up to this point, Club Primordial has not been in direct contact with its applicants. All information needed for Step 2 had to be made available ahead of time, and their researchers did the digging for anything unavailable. If an applicant made it to Step 3, they will receive a black envelope in the mail (or an e-mail, if they prefer), inviting them to a psychological evaluation. Usually, Club Primordial hosts these evaluations in hotels the potential subject is close to - all on company budget. They want their potential slaves to be comfortable, after all and make the process as simple and safe as it can be. An applicant can always choose another location for their evaluation too if they have a specific preference or need in that regard.
Once a date has been set, Club Primordial will send out two of their trained psychologists to conduct a lengthy interview. While I agreed not to disclose most of the questions Club Primordial goes into, I got to watch an entire interview with a candidate's permission. Believe me when I say: Club Primordial cares about the men and women they auction off, and are utterly respectful in their demeanor. They even inform them about the safeword structure all Club Members shares, followed by plenty of reassurances that their voice will be heard in any given situation. One more detail I am allowed to share: Every word spoken is recorded by Club Primordial. Yes, that includes the long conversation and questionnaire about sexual preferences which is double-checked (each applicant already had to send in a full list of fantasies, kinks, and limits with their application).

Even though all of our potential slaves already gave us this information ahead of time, we like to know more about what makes them tick. If there are details or ideas that would make them a bad fit for a specific Club Member, we need to know in advance. Not to send them away, no - at the auction, each Slave comes with a catalog, and our guests will receive a note about whether they are allowed to bid on specific people or not.

We will get into this catalog in more detail... right now!

Step 4: Editorial Week

So, if a candidate made it through Step three, they officially become employed by Club Primordial - they have to lay their usual career on ice for a bit, but the host makes sure that they will be able to return to their old job once their time with the company is over. Even now, the slaves hold all the cards: They can terminate their contract at any point without having to face repercussions. They are paid exactly what they were at their previous job... but the work they do now is much more fun.
After signing the contract, 'Editorial week' commences for them. A team of photographers, interviewers, and stylists follows them around, trying their hardest to present each piece of merchandise as just who they are: Beautiful, adventurous people. They take photos, film them in different locations - sometimes in beautiful designer clothes, sometimes in next to nothing or even less than that. Some merchandise masturbates for the camera, and others dance or don't do anything in particular during this week. No matter what, every piece is artsy, deliberate, and tries to reflect the personality of the slave. Yes, Club Primordial makes a ten-page editorial about each slave they employ, adding to that a well-structured compilation of all info they previously gathered on them. Yes, that includes a full record of their psychological evaluation and all those juicy details about their kinks and sexual fantasies.
Armed with all this decor and fanfare, Club Members are sent a magazine a month before each auction that they signed up for. They can browse the merchandise, read as much about them as they want, watch the full psychological evaluation on the Club Website, or listen to the shorter, improvised interviews that transpire during Editorial week. As stated, each slave is marked for them already, telling them whether they will be allowed to partake in their auction or not. Of course, this magazine also tells interested club members how long they will be able to own their potential slave. Some only auction off a weekend, while more daring slaves offer up to a year or two of servitude.

Step 5: Maintenance

Leading up to an auction, each slave is provided with a fitness and nutrition coach. Their goal is never to get their subject into shape. No, they are meant to keep them just how they looked during the editorial week. Anything else would be false advertisement, after all. While most slaves are already familiar with themes of fitness and nutrition, giving away control here allows them some comfort - if they look different at the auction, it's never their fault.
Other than that, a slave can do what they want during this month, so long as it is not dangerous. They are taken to regular spa appointments by their coaches, get to visit etiquette classes if they so desire, or take courses in foreign languages some guests at their auction happen to speak.
Ultimately, a day before the auction, they once more have an appointment with their psychologists, talking them through everything they are about to go through. If these medical professionals give their OK, a slave is fit for the auction, and a recording of these interviews is published to Club Members on Primordial's website. (Don't even try to get a look, you have to be recommended by at least three other members to join).

Step 6: Pampered and Prepared

The day of the auction. After months of work, this is what each applicant was looking forward to. While the auctions start in the early evening, a slave's day starts much earlier than that. After breakfast, they are taken to another lengthy spa appointment to make sure they are not only relaxed, but in pristine condition once they are to be presented. Stylists then spend hours preparing their outfits, make-up, and hair - all while the host finally meets each slave themselves. A final conversation to see if they are handling the pressure well before they are finally sent off.
Oh, one more note here: The whole day over, each slave is followed by a camera crew, and their preparations are live-streamed to watching areas in the auction house. Each Club Member can watch their favorites get all pretty and preppy for them... until dinner is served.

Step 7: Dinner

Dinner is split across multiple rounds and works a bit like speed dating. Each slave sits in their own room, decor chosen by them with a team of interior designers during the editorial week, and every eligible Club member has a chance to eat a bite with them.

Of course, the meals are quite small. We often have around twenty subjects and thirty to forty Club Members present. Not every one of them will get to take a slave home, but this mix promotes the competitive nature of bidding for their favorites. In the end, this approach earns our charity the most money, and we can almost guarantee that every slave will be sold. If we did it the other way around, we might hurt a candidate that was looking forward to this event and the adventures that might follow. That risk would not be worth it, and we wanted to highlight that our slaves are the focal point of these auctions, not our club members.

Step 8: Auction

After plenty of tiny bites have been devoured, the show finally begins. The auction. One after the other, the slaves are brought on stage, and the club members can finally bid on their darlings. I was getting a little dizzy watching this part of the event - the bids for each slave shot into eight-figure numbers, and by the end of the night, they almost broke the record by selling a gorgeous man to a young couple for over 160.000.000 dollars. For one and a half years, he would serve the two of them.... all while preventing human trafficking across the globe!

Ideally, I want to find someone willing to write a story about a heroine going through all of these steps. As much fun as it is to explore D/s relationships and these auction-type stories, I always felt like the preparations for such an event can be equally interesting. Ultimately, it will at least allow us to understand our heroine quite a bit better than we would otherwise - and erotica is much hotter if we like the characters that get to do the dirty work.

• Which kind of kinks you want to highlight and why - a list of kinks and limits is nice. Mine is below. If that list suits you well, that would obviously be quite great. Other than that, our characters will spend plenty of time talking about kinks and fantasies - if we include the psychological evaluation.

• I like using visual references - let me know if you have a look in mind for our heroine, or ask me about my ideas in this regard.

I tend to write stories as a 3rd-person, personal narrator. Most of the time, I prefer a slower, more relaxed pace, both within the story and on a META level. Visual references can be quite fun and practical in my opinion, at least for outfits and sometimes architecture. Someone on DPP introduced me to the latter (you know who you are). In this intro, I take some control over the actions of your character, but I would obviously never do that in our story, and we can change any and all details of what I constructed below!
