Post-college, post-pandemic. What the fuck even is money nowadays?

Well, despite it all, I did alright for myself. Working in academia, living in an apartment in a decent area where the only danger I've had so far is one of my elderly neighbors almost crashing into my (parked) car leaving and coming back from home. No, it's not because she's old either. She just drives a Tesla. Anyway, I still make enough to get by and live, so things could be a lot worse.

I really did get tested though, when my previous roommate managed to secure a job internationally and had to take off before the lease ended. It was fine in the short term because it was all on good terms, and he paid the remainder of his share of the lease term. I hope he's doing great over in London -- or was it Paris... or Rome... fuck, nevermind. The thing is, not planning to have a bigger headache and take the time to find a new place or anything when this one was perfectly fine, I was on the hook for getting things together for the renewal.

So I did what we do in the age of technology, I advertised a spot in my apartment for new roommates. After sifting through options, interesting and not-so-much (telling me all the different ways our apartment complex could blow up isn't a good icebreaker as a potential roommate -- take notes), I came across one that was pretty damn compelling.

Someone who felt more comfortable presenting as and being as feminine as possible, a femboy, more or less ostracized by family and previous set of roommates once they really got into it all. Damn shame, I always thought that kinda stuff was pretty cool, and it's always nice for someone to be able to be themselves. My take on it? You could wear a fucking gorilla suit and only live off a diet of bananas (hello, potassium) for all I care, as long as you were good for your share of the rent. Plus, it seemed like we had similar hobbies like gaming, anime, and shitposting online, so it was always good to just make friends in general.

It looked like they were, too, as they began to get their things together and move in with me. When they first arrived, I had to be honest, it was pretty wild. They really played the part, and it seemed like they were genuinely happy to have a fresh start.

"Hey, what's up, dude? Or... wait... can I call you dude?I call everyone dude but if you don't want me too it's all good, you know?" I ask in a friendly tone, rubbing the back of my head for a moment.

Setting some of their things by the door, they just smiled and chuckled at my response. "Dude, bro, dudebro, dudette... it all works for me!" They reply, pointing both thumbs towards themselves with a gentle laugh.

I watch as they go back out and bring in their sweet gaming PC in, walking over towards their room. Mine was pretty good itself, and I was jealous.

"Aw, hell yeah. So what do you main in Final Fantasy 14?" I ask as they keep walking by.

They turn around for a moment, looking at me with a raised eyebrow. "...wait a minute... hold on..." they pause, "...is it just because I'm a femboy you assume I play FF14?"

I look away for a moment in response. "No... yes."

They turn back around and begin to continue walking. "W-white Mage..." they say under their breath, but still audibly.

Of course, that was just something to set the general scene! I would never want to play for my partner and be godmodding, so that was just for creating the vibe I was going for. I figure we'd kinda share those interests, anyway!

But yeah, I really was in the mood for a typical femboy roommate story, but with a heavier focus on storybuilding and lighthearted, funny moments and chill vibes. I do have appreciation for all the femboys and similar out there, however far into it they may be. It's always good to express yourself however you wish. This open to any writer who wants to take the role, and I was being ambiguous with pronouns, so just tell me whatever floats your boat! Maybe you haven't been able to express yourself as much in real life, so taking on this role would be a lot of fun for you. Or maybe this just sounds fun because it does! Whatever works!

It would be cool if you were also into stuff like gaming, anime, internet culture, etc as I am, because playing around with and referencing that stuff is always easy and a lot of fun. That's just a bonus, though.

Not to mention I have no issue getting down and dirty, and there are a lot of sexy ideas that I had in mind (ahem... femboys in fishnets...) and I'm sure you had in mind!

I'm just going for a chill, funny, and sexy slice of life between a dude and his feminine presenting roommate, with different scenarios popping up from time to time. Let's see where it goes!
