I still remember that first time, lying on a grey carpet floor after school, a couple of friends nearby... It's not what it sounds like... One of them opened up a song on their PC and that was the first time I ever consciously, heard a metal song.

Powerful tunes, distorted guitars, pounding drums, screaming vocals and spectacular shows. It was love at first listen and it never stopped.

It was the only logical thing to head into the closest music store a few weeks later and buy myself an electric guitar, who needs an acoustic one anyway I thought to myself, try myself out and follow my psssion. Only thing is, I sucked. Youtube was barely a thing, I had not had a lesson in my life and jumped right into trying to play that first song. But I stuck with it - motivational music - and I went from barely listenable to it sounding similar to some other song to halfway decent to...

That was almost 20 years ago. Got my first tattoo, a spider on my left shoulder blade, at 16,followed by a nipple piercing the next day for good measure. Earrings got dropped for tunnels and the number of tattoos kept growing. Some time through college I had had enough, met some people equally serious and passionate about metal, dropped out, started touring and have never looked back.

Nowadays I'm out on the road, up some stage, none too small, singing, screaming and growling my hearts and lungs out every night. Throwing my long blonde hair around, jumping up and down in heavy boots, getting you to join in. I wouldn't have it any other way. Driving from town to town, performing, creating music, meeting new folks every day, the beers and pot after the shows.
