When the governments across Earth began asking their citizens who would dare travel across the astral sea, there were a surprising many eager to be shipped out.

See, Earth had a population problem.

Laws had been implemented in the past few years in order to temper the surge, resulting in strict population control. It was nigh impossible to get permission to have children without spending an exorbitant sum of money to have all the paperwork done. As a result of this, those looking to start a family set their sights on the new colonies out in space.

It was not the most conventional means of settling down, but Kitty saw no harm in trying her luck. In recent years, the migration movements had become something commonplace, with agencies popping up specially dedicated to streamline the process of.

It still felt strange to have to fill up the attached form with such intimate information of her life and person; the knowledge that AMARE’s services promoted procreation should have made it obvious, but Kitty couldn’t keep herself from blushing as she filled in the blanks.

Scrolling through the forms the matchmaking service had sent, the information they asked of her was fairly simple. Along with the results of her recent medical examination, and personal preferences, Kitty needed to attach her most recent picture.

Kitty complied everything the form required of her, and sent it off.

The picture she’d attached had been taken only a few days earlier— Kitty had picked out her prettiest dress. It was a shade of jewel green, sleeveless with a high collar reminiscent of vintage fashion, the long hem brushing her feet with a cheeky slit just shy of the bottom of her thigh. The dress complimented Kitty’s porcelain complexion, and brought out the blue in her eyes, and the coppery hues of her hair. And that was not mentioning the flattering things the dress' shape did to her figure.

Personally, Kitty thought she looked great. And knowing that her photo would be her veritable first impression to any and all of her potential matches in AMARE's system, looking great was her putting her best foot forward.

The algorithm would do most of the work for her, and now all that Kitty could do was wait for a response, and hope that her dreams of having a family of her own wouldn't be too far off in the future.
