Blades clash and crowds cheer as the ring of honor erupts in a frenzy of violence and might. Warriors of renown from every corner of the world test their mettle here in Jahruba’s coliseums, dueling each other and beasts alike in brilliant displays of fighting prowess. In the barracks that house the contestants one can find every manner and sort - Mercenaries, adventurers, glory-seekers and outcasts, the damned and the desperate. They all come, and no matter what they seek, they know that victory will bring at least one thing.

The prize.

There it is right now, kneeling in the hot sands, stripped bare for all to see. Hands and feet manacled, chain linking their collar to the ground. Head bowed such that they would never know who won until it was time to be claimed.

And there it is! When the dust settles and you stand victorious, it will be time to claim your prize! Who are they? Well, that’s for us to decide! A captured adventurer? Fallen nobility? Perhaps even your defeated opponent? Only one thing is for certain, and it’s that you’ll be holding the key to their collar before the day is done.

I’ve set this up as an Arabian Nights-esque city, but I’m open to other kinds of settings and different kinds of themes, backstories, and relationships between my character and whoever winds up owning them. I’m looking for a partner to take up a GM-like role in all of this - Though if you like, we can keep most of the focus on one main character(such as the gladiator)

Respondents interested in worldbuilding with ideas of their own to expand on the prompt are greatly preferred!

I’m open to a mix of lightheartedness and darker themes, and to varying degrees of story and smut depending on what we come up with. Want to just be a local gladiator who’s happy to have a warm body waiting at home? I’ll be there! An adventurer on a grand quest in need of a servant who can double as monster-bait and reluctant trap finder? We can do that too! While I would like to begin things on Reddit PMs, I’m happy to move over to discord for those who prefer that. Reddit chats will be ignored.
