[A4A] Black Flags, White Sails

Post Body

(I am 21 , you should be too)

(If you can see this, it's still open!)

Black flags, white sails, two ships and a dramatic pursuit that can only end one way! For the strong and the skilled, these warm and pristine waters offer bounty beyond compare - Be it sugar, spice, or slaves.

Few things hold firm across the Kiprath Expanse, where the lines between smuggler, pirate, merchant, mercenary, and naval enforcer blur and vanish. Hidden coves and open markets offer every manner of good and service. Slaves shackled in lines are marched across auction blocks, representing every manner of race and origin - Debtors, prisoners, and the merely desperate fill their ranks. Many may find themselves serving in some villainous hive of a tavern, forced to endure and entertain the grasping hands of lustful sailors. Others might vanish into the service of local warlords, ever eager to add to their harems.

And a few will be whisked away to sea, or will never reach these markets at all. The lucky remain the personal playthings of the officers, while the others may become the whole crew’s amusement.

The fates of those who sail in the Expanse unwary and unprepared are vast and varied indeed. For some it ends in nothing more than a collar, while others have the bleakness of their fates veiled behind silks, jewels, and magical binding runes. There are those plied into empty stupors through drink and drugs, and those caged birds who still sing and dance for the pleasure of their captors.

Across all of these, it is known that only one law stands strong in the Expanse - That of a Captain on a ship.

And that’s a wrap! As the prompt implies, this will be an adventure on the high seas… only for some, it is an adventure cut somewhat short. Whether captured on the high seas, purchased in port, or simply pressganged into service, my character will stand on your vessel and at your mercy. You may be just another crew of ill-repute, or the highest of pirate lords, or perhaps something else entirely!

I’ve set this up to be something like a more fantastical Pirates of the Carribean-esque region, but I’m open to other kinds of settings and different kinds of themes, backstories, and relationships between my character and the crew that owns them. Respondents interested in worldbuilding with ideas of their own to expand on the prompt are greatly preferred! I’m looking for a partner willing to take up a more GM-like role in running this world - Though if you like, we can keep most of the focus on one main character(such as the Captain).

I’m open to a mix of lightheartedness and darker themes, and to varying degrees of story and smut depending on what we come up with. Want to have a grand swashbuckling adventure? I’m there to the ends of the map! Rather keep things contained onboard? Well, the sharks are circling and I won’t be swimming far! While I would like to begin things on Reddit PMs, I’m happy to move over to discord for those who prefer that. Reddit chats will be ignored.

As a final note, when I say A4A, I do mean A4A - I am open to playing as or with any gender, so shoot over your thoughts, whether they are of the most fearsome fleet in all the Expanse or the lowest scum on the seas! Please include your kinks and limits and your favorite fantasy race to show that you read this far.

Kinks and limits are listed here, but most important of all is literacy: https://i.imgur.com/yBDHja0.png
