The coffee shop at seven in the morning. A normal place for him to end up at on his way to work. Without his coffee he would be a walking zombie. Lately though there had been another reason he kept going and buying the over priced mochas instead of just making it himself at home. At that same time on most days a very attractive woman came in as well. They had talked a few times and seemed to hit it off. This time he would be different though. This time wasn't just going to end with 'see you next time'. This time he would get her number and the 'next time' would be taking her out on a date. She seemed like she would normally be the kind of girl you saw at fancy parties or high end places, but talking to her made her seem like she was just your average girl. That was good because he was just your average guy. So what could be the harm in that?

I have been watching way to much crime shows lately and now I want to do something set in the underbelly of the world. An average guy asks out a woman. Turns out she is the daughter of a very powerful crime family. Something she obviously doesn't tell him at first. But soon after they start dating he gets the feeling of being followed. Scary looking guys staring at him from across the street. And questions about her family always ignored or skillfully diverted.

The only thing I want though isn't for her to be against her family. She knows what her family does and maybe she isn't dealing weapons or killing people, but she still supports her family. So sooner or later her families life would either be found out by her new boyfriend or she would have to tell him. I like the idea of him being brought into what the family does. A guy who barely had more then a speeding ticket to his name turning into a member of this criminal family all because of the girl he loves.
