King Fredrick "The Bear" sat impatiently as his councilor droned on about the state of his realm. Weeks earlier the King was a prince and was leading his army to battle. King Fredrick was a warrior first and foremost but with his fathers untimely demise he was whisked away from battle, the one place he felt truly in charge and put in the castle. The coronation was quick and the last few weeks, the King was given tasks he would rather not perform, ceremonial tasks, hearing from his nobles and common folk alike, passing judgement and laws. "Ah your highness, one last thing we will be having a ball." His councilor beamed with a smile "A king needs a queen and a heir we will invite all the available women of the realm."

The king huffed his men were thousands of miles away fighting, winning glory while he sat here on his throne. "Fine I shall pick a queen and then I am going back to crusading." That was that, it was time.

Who does the King pick? Well this is where the plot twists, you see I don't like normal I want the king to be a bit of a rebel and offend the sensibilities of the stuffy court. It won't be some princess or noble woman! Perhaps it is a pretty commoner he sees at the ball? Perhaps she's a married woman who the king has to dispose of the husband? His own sister or mother? An outsider from another country, dark as mysterious? I'd like the Queen to be unique a perfect counter point to his gruff warlike demeanor someone who can handle the court in his absence and of course carry his seed to give him the Heir the country needs.

I like good story and build up, plenty of smut will be had but I want it to further the storyline.
