Brad comes rushing out of the house dressed in an olive green tank top that matches his eyes and black athletic shorts. “Jess?! Did you turn off my alarm?” I step back from the car with a big smile saying, “Yes I did! I wanted you to rest while I packed the car for you.” I’m already dressed and ready to go in a pink tee shirt and light green running shorts.

He walks past me and looks at the car. There’s a reason he was planning on packing it and it wasn’t so I would be inconvenienced. It’s because I’m terrible. The only seats available in our SUV are the driver’s seat and one in the third row. I say, “I think I need to drive because of my carsickness…” I’m a little sheepish when he says, “And I’m in the back sharing a seat with her?” He points as you show up ready to go. “Where is her bag going to go?” I point to a perfect spot in the cargo area and he sighs as he looks at you. “Good morning… It looks like we’re going to spend a lot of time together.”

The three of us are stuck in a car together for several hours on a very long drive. We have packed the car so full and poorly that the only seats available are for the driver and one spot on the back seat. I guess two people will have to share. Hopefully the A/C works well back there. Who knows what will happen with two people getting hot in close proximity?
