You had worked hard to build a career assisting powerful CEOs with all of their day to day needs, arranging travel and meetings, setting up their schedule every day, and handling all of their needs throughout the day. For years, you had taken care of Mr. Dalton, the CEO of a big mortgage firm, and had a great working relationship with him. But after he stepped down to retire, it was uncertain who your new CEO would be. His name was Mr. Campbell, elected by the board to be the new CEO of the company. You had never worked under a strong black man before, and it was a little intimidating with such a large figure standing over you. However, when he greeted you with his deep, smooth voice, it almost instantly put you at ease.
