Just one year ago, Adina had first wandered through these halls. Back then, it had been not much more than a ruin, a safety hazard, and most definitely an eyesore next to the gorgeous Battery Park. Advisors the estate administrator had suggested were telling her to level the place, sell the property once the rubble was removed. It would have made her a pretty penny, so much was certain. But it wouldn't have been right. Her ancestors lived here after they fled from Germany, servants to an entrepreneur who took in as many fugitives as they possibly could. If that had not been enough already, her first visit revealed another secret in the basement. Below six stories of brick, mortar, and wooden beams hid a passage to the Underground Railroad.

No, she couldn't possibly demolish the building, no matter what it might cost to get it back up to code. Funds were not an issue - if her plans worked out, State Street 121 would soon pay for its own renovations. Adina dreamed of a hotel, a spa, a modern tribute to its history. A place where people would find a bed, would find comfort, would find relaxation no matter what else their lives usually offered.

Soon, construction was underway, and Adina certainly involved herself in the process. Sure, she couldn't be of much help removing the rubble and trash that had accumulated over centuries, but she did her best keeping her contractors happy. Coffee, beer, snacks and even hearty dinners once the grand kitchen was renovated. Adina bounced back and forth between the estate and Cornell University, making it a point to learn the names of everyone that went in and out, whether they were an architect, interior designer, or simply part of one of the construction crews. Over two hundred people played part in the estate's reincarnation... and while Adina didn't want to admit it, there was one crew she was particularly kind to.

Three men had the difficult task of turning the two-storied basement into the cozy spa she envisioned. Day in and day out these men carried rubble up the stairs in plastic buckets, the stairways too small for larger equipment, the elevator mid-construction. They did so at almost 35 degrees celsius, a faulty heating system and plenty of machinery the culprits of that. For months, the trio worked all by themselves, taking fewer breaks than anyone else just so they would get done in time. No matter what Adina said, how often she reassured them that it was entirely acceptable if it took them longer under these circumstances, they just kept hustling away.

Adina spent more and more time near the basement too - to help them, to talk about this and that and nothing at all to keep them somewhat entertained. Of course, she enjoyed this kind of company for other reasons too. The heat had changed their work attire quite significantly. Flannel shirts and construction vests turned into tank tops, eventually turned into... nothing at all. The three men worked entirely bare-chested, muscle-bound bodies covered in sweat and dust. Day after day, Adina watched, dreamed, wondered - whether they had girlfriends, wives, or anyone special in their lives. Careful questions eventually made her heart jump: They were single, all three of them.

And when their work was finally done, they left. Just as professional as they had been charming. Adina missed them, and while she tried to forget about the trio by spending more time with the other construction crews, she didn't get that same kick out of it. Sure, plenty of these men were just her type. Chiseled bodies, beards, men that had worked their whole life, unlike the douches she went to college with. None of them did it for her. She wanted them back.

So she did what any reasonable person would do: One evening, when everyone left the hotel, she wandered down into the basement, the only place that was fully renovated aside from the kitchen. She went past the changing rooms, past the showers, and dipped into the heated pool, a thick layer of bubbles soon concealing her nude frame. Half an hour ago, she had sent the three of them a message: That there was a leak in the pools, and that she needed all three of them to come over ASAP. Surely, she wouldn't have to wait for them much longer. Once they arrived, once they saw the bucket full of champagne bottles, toys, and restraints on cushions all around the pools - surely, they wouldn't mind her white little lie.

No need to jump right in, but I do appreciate good first impressions. Tell me something about your kinks and limits that goes beyond a list (though a list is appreciated) - and where you see this story going. Tell me more about the three characters you would want to portray. Ask me about looks I would have in mind for our characters or make some suggestions yourself. If you want to provide a writing sample, perhaps detailing the first impression the men had of our heroine when they started working for her, go for that! And if there is anything you would want to change, tell me :)
