It started innocent enough. I saw the moving van coming down the driveway, followed by a mini van and an SUV. I sat out on my porch and waved as they stopped at the house that had just sold. I sipped my coffee. "here we go," I said to myself "New neighbors."

That's a big upgrade. The man looks over and notices me and gestures over to his wife. They make quick work up my driveway with their kids to introduce themselves. "I'm Jim and this is my wife Amber! Our daughters Anna and Isabella." They all wave and smile politely, that is before the two girls dive back in to their phones. I smile back and introduce myself.

"I'm Corbin, It's a pleasure to meet you. I'll have to have you all over once you're all settled in!" I smile and shake both of the parents hands. Amber seems ready to start the move in and let's Jim know she's gonna go let the movers in. She runs off bouncing happily as Jim spends another few moments with me. "Glad to finally be making the move! Girls just graduated and I’m going back up with them to tour colleges! It’ll give me some time to finish up with a project for work. With the market being so crazy Amber wanted to pop down here and start getting the house settled. We found this cute little place and pounced!" He smiles and clamps my shoulder before he too departs. we say our goodbyes and I cheers him with my cup.

I cant help but watch over the excited Amber as she bustles about. I'm going to need to borrow a cup of sugar from the neighbor sooner or later...
