Hi all. I've been playing Stardew Valley lately and thought the concept could be fun to roleplay, with a few minor tweaks. If you know the story, you'll know most of the prompt.

After my grandfather passed away, I ended up inheriting the farm. Bored of my life in the city, working in a dead-end corporate job, I decide not to sell it, but to move out there and give farming a go. The nearby town is small, a dwindling community as most people aspire to leave it and go to the nearest city and live there.

The farm is overgrown, with more wilderness than farmland, and I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing. I went to the saloon and had a couple of drinks, contemplating giving up, when I meet you.

So essentially, after about a month of struggling, my character is debating leaving it all behind. You become their reason to stay. But who are you? Another young (18 obviously) person who plans to leave the town? An older mother whose husband passed away, or left her? The town outcast?

I'm hoping for a longer-term romantic role where we end up making the farm hugely profitable, and revitalising the nearby town, eventually needing to hire other workers. As a result, the town would grow, and more visitors would come, leading to more shops, and cafes, eventually becoming a sizeable place.

Perhaps this causes one of our exes to return, causing a bit of drama and jealousy. Maybe the person I had been dating and planned to marry, but wouldn't make the move with me arrives, and you wonder if now they'll move, and I'll kick you out. Maybe the father of your children comes back, and naturally, I panic. You had been close before, what if that happened again?
