Work's important but really? Last minute crisis and only you can fix? It's our anniversary? Seriously? you have to fly out tonight? It's fine it's just an anniversary there will be more, I can make do. I'm just bummed that we can't get a refund on this spa package we bought. Super expensive and some of the best treatments in the world. I could always go by myself, or for a hoot bring one of my friends. That'd be an odd couples weekend. Or better yet I can totally earn brownie points with one of your friends. I mean I would still like the massage but that's not overly weird right? Right? I still want to Relax!
I could be a lone man on a weekend trip meant for couples and the massage clerks decide to take extra care!
I love the idea of the slightly put out guy trying to have a good weekend meant to be a couples trip but last minute it's not the coupling he planned.
