Trained and qualified as a doctor, been working for two years but quit recently due to stress. Anyway, just got myself a nice simple job working in admin in an office. Been told by my boss I need to learn my place, and lose this whole independent woman vibe. She said I'm not a doctor anymore, and that I need to start acting like the job I have now. Only just started, but like I don't really know how to be one of those girls, but I want to be, I want to stick at this job. Need to learn how to dress properly in admin, apparently pencil skirts are whats expected and heels. Anyway, anyone want to chat, hmu x
Sounds like your boss isn't a very good person manager, your past is in the past, you're working there now it's not about knowing your place it's about knowing your job. It doesn't matter how you dress and as far as I can see your boss is either bullying you or being very sexist in his attitude to the staff. Bordering on sexual harassment.
Just my thoughts if you read this
